That’s A Wrap

That’s it for the February ’24 month of posts and events. Sections on this page are always being updated with new content – especially links to photos and videos. Saturday, February 3rd

Pizza Bowl IV @ Redds In East Rutherford (12pm To 7pm)

Another amazing Pizza Bowl hosted by Guy Madsen comes to a close and News 12 was on-hand to capture the action. Guy returned as coordinator and emcee of the Pizza Bowl IV event. Aloha Monkey, along with yours truly, provided the live entertainment and sound for another year. Just like last year, special guests joined in on judging the competition and sharing the entertainment stage.

Last year I had the opportunity to meet up with Stephen Baker “The Touchdown Maker” from the NY Giants and hangout for a photograph featuring his Super Bowl XXV ring. In addition, I also had the opportunity to jam with rock-n-roll legend Eddie Brigati of the Young Rascals. I’m sure you guessed it. I got to lay down that harmonica riff while Aloha Monkey and Eddie performed “Groovin'”. You can read all about last year’s event along with videos and photos ⇉ CLICK HERE ⇇.

This year featured special rock n’ roll legends the Smithereens, along with Steve Trevelise (Jersey 101.5FM DJ), Justin Godynick (NBC 10 Philly Weatherman), and Jim Murdoch (News 12 NJ Reporter). Opening the event with acoustic music and the Aloha Monkey band was Mark Byrnes (She Said No band). Judges included comedian Julia Scotti and Telina Vincenza Cuppari (Guinness Book of Records Holder).

Saturday, February 18th

Josh Werner Duo @ Royal Bine Beer Release, Hosted by Pinelands (1pm To 4pm)

I’ll be joining Josh Werner for an evening of acoustic tunes celebrating the release of Royal Bine’s first brew. Pinelands Brewery was kind enough to host this event for Kenny Ward who expects to have his local brewery up and running this Summer.

We’ll be performing inside but the weather will be just right to gather outside as well and sample the other brews on tap. It’s sure to be a blast, so come join us.
