Making The Rounds, November 16th – 18th
Friday the 16th, I got to grab a bite at Klein’s in Belmar with my friends Don and Donna. Always great to hear Joey Ric (Riccardello) knock out some tunes. What a pleasure it was to meet his family.
I continued on to the new MJ’s in Bayville to hear Lance Hyland Stark on the kit with Sheri Lynn, Pete Kegs, and Johnny Moon. Super talented combo. Hey … and they even invited me up to sing and knock out some harp on “Wagon Wheel“.
To end the Friday evening, I caught the killer “Los Gringos” band at Jack’s Tavern (“Jack on the Tracks”) in Belmar for their last set. Matt Reynolds and BC MacGowan never disappoint … amazing!
On Saturday, I rocked out at a private party with Mark Burg. Mark always delivers a great show, and this one held at Barlow’s Garden Center was no exception. What a stunning place to hold a gathering.
Later that evening, I collected a second wind and jammed with “On The Rocks” at the Broadway before calling it a night. Bill, Steve, and Nick definitely know how to keep the crowd dancing and smiling right to last call.
