That’s A Wrap

We’re well into Summer and the music is continuing to flow. Cool upcoming “stuff” is in the mix and you’ve come to the right place to get the scoop. I’ll be continuing to team up with Josh Werner, Jeff Propert, and the Tommy Gannon Trio, but I’ve got a cool show with the Jimmy Brogan Band in Atlantic City. We were well into Summer as the music continued to flow. What cool upcoming “stuff” was in the mix for this month and you came to the right place to get the scoop. I continued to team up with Josh Werner, Jeff Propert, Jimmy Brogan, and the Tommy Gannon Trio. I got to play an amazing show with the Jimmy Brogan Band in Atlantic City, and had such a great time running sound in addition to performing at Sun Harbor. Tommy Gannon had Tommy Grasso from Eaglemania join us a Fratello’s, which was just fun. I hit a recording studio to not only add some harmonica, but lead vocals on an upcoming tune to be released by the Coyote Jack Band! Cancelled: Tommy, Wally, and I will be hitting Maggie’s Tiki Bar with the tunes you know and love. Have a cocktail or brew and join us by the 18 holes. This is a “Rain or Shine” event, so for inclement weather, you can still catch at the inside bar.

The Jimmy Brogan Band will be hitting the Hard Rock Cafe stage and I’ll be joining them. We’ll be rockin’ your favorite tunes with that special “Jimmy Brogan” pizazz you know and love. Along with Jimmy and myself, we’ll have Jesse Wirtz on bass and Greg Jaeckel on drums. First note drops at 8:30pm … Can’t wait to see everyone!

Sunday, July 12th – Rain Or Shine

Tommy Gannon Trio @ Mantoloking Road Alehouse (4pm To 7pm)

Once again, the Tommy Gannon Trio will be performing at the Mantoloking Road Alehouse. Join us just a mile from the bay at this chill little tavern. Depending upon the weather, we’ll be playing to the outside dining area if it’s nice or to the patrons inside if the weather’s on the downside.

Friday’s show cancelled due to air quality … Saturday’s Music Fest events are planned as scheduled!

We got the invite back and we’re opening the 12th Annual Baker’s Acres Music Fest weekend that Friday Evening. This will be our 2nd visit and we’re excited to be coming back.We’ll probably be sharing some campfire tunes with members of “Slap Happy”, “South 47“, Ted Hammock, and other musicians that weekend, I’m sure.

The Tommy Gannon Trio makes its return to Fratello’s. Wally will be spending another evening with the Philadelphia Philharmonic, so we’re securing the talents of Tommy Grasso from Eaglemania. If there’s a time you’ve been thinking about catching us at Fratello’s, this should be one of them. We’re excited to make our return to one our favorite restaurants, and with Tommy G joining us, this will be a fun one. Join us for some eats, drinks, and tunes.

I’ll be running the sound for Josh Werner and friends as they jam at Sun Harbor in Barnegat. The band will consist of Josh (guitar & vocals), Jeff (upright bass & vocals), Steve (drums), Kyle (pedal steel), and Craig (fiddle). I’ll probably be rockin’ the harmonica on some tunes as well. Well, with the power being out in Lakewood and my gig with TG3 being cancelled because of it, I joined my CJPHC friends for their Happy Hour gathering at Caribbean Pete’s. The special musical guest was Lisa Bouchelle and I had the opportunity to jam on some cover tunes with her. What a great time Lisa and I had playing together for our friends. Rumor has it that Tommy Gannon and I will be on the bill at Caribbean Pete’s for August – stay tuned. Meanwhile, please check out the added media below.

Tuesday, July 21st – Visits

Open Mic @ Lighthouse Tavern (7pm To 9pm)

I stumbled upon this open mic about a year ago, and it’s been my favorite place to try out some new tunes. However, it isn’t often you practically get a full band to assist you on some of your standards. I was lucky enough to recruit George (bass) and Rich (drums / 40 North) to join me on a few. I stayed and played harmonica for a few of the guests until I had to leave for Caffery’s.

Rich Villalva was the special guest, and I couldn’t let this slip by me. Josh, Jeff, Rich and I teamed up for the last set and cranked out some classics for the crowd. We also belted our rendition of “Seven Bridges Road” since we had this rare opportunity to do 4-part harmonies. Thanks all for staying to the end of this special evening!
