Early This August: Gigs For Aug 5th Thru Aug 9th 2020
Once again it’s a Brue Crew week, except with a Funbox gig tossed in the mix on Friday. However, before I get started, let me first give a shout out to my friend, “Mayor Dick” Wenner. We celebrated his 80th birthday with a private get-together and dinner at Marina Grille in Belmar. Because of the COVID-19 isolation, we haven’t had a chance to catch-up since March when all this craziness started. Dick’s doing well and had a great time reminiscing and exchanging views on the political scene. I think the highlight for Dick was the “duck & cover” run from a squall that passed through right after dinner. A few cocktails under the roof of a shielded tiki bar rounded out the evening. Always memorable times with the “Mayor”.
My calendar will have the details, but I’ll be hitting Maggie’s on Wednesday, Beacon 70 both Thursday and Friday, shooting over to Cornerstone K&T late Friday, followed by two private parties for the weekend. Please note that all these gigs are “weather permitting”. Hope to see you out and about!
